ITZY's Yuna Withdraws From Shenzhen Fan Sign Due to Health Concerns
ITZY member Yuna will miss the Shenzhen fan signing after being hospitalized with a high fever as JYP Entertainment prioritizes her recovery.
ITZY will move forward with part of its upcoming China schedule without one of its brightest stars. Yuna has been forced to withdraw from the group's fan signing events in Shenzhen after being hospitalized with a health condition that requires inpatient treatment.
JYP Entertainment confirmed the news on July 30 through its official social media channels. According to the agency, Yuna will not participate in the fan signing events celebrating ITZY's mini-album "Motto", scheduled to take place in Shenzhen, China, on August 1 and 2.

The announcement revealed that Yuna recently visited a hospital after developing a high fever. Following a detailed internal medicine examination, doctors diagnosed her with inflammation and advised that she receive inpatient treatment. As a result, the agency decided that stepping away from the upcoming promotional events was the best course of action.
While Yuna focuses on recovery, the remaining four ITZY members will attend the Shenzhen fan signing events as originally planned. The schedule itself remains unchanged, though fans will undoubtedly feel the absence of one of the group's key performers.
JYP Entertainment also addressed fans directly, acknowledging the disappointment caused by the sudden announcement.
"We sincerely apologize for causing concern to the fans who have been waiting with this sudden news," the agency said. "We will prioritize the artist's health and do our utmost to ensure sufficient treatment and recovery."
Health-related pauses have become an increasingly familiar part of the K-pop industry as agencies place greater emphasis on artists' physical well-being during demanding schedules. For fans, the news hits differently because it arrives while ITZY is actively meeting audiences around the world.
The group is currently traveling on its third world tour, "TUNNEL VISION," continuing a busy stretch of concerts and promotions that has kept the members on the road for months.
Yuna has also been expanding her career beyond music. Alongside her activities with ITZY, she has stepped into acting with roles in tvN's "Undercover Miss Hong" and the upcoming drama "My Favorite Employee," which is set to premiere on August 3.
