aespa Takes Over Gocheok Dome as SYNK : COMPLaeXITY World Tour Begins
aespa draws 35,000 fans to Gocheok Dome, performing 27 songs as Karina, Winter, Giselle and Ningning launch their fourth world tour.
aespa has spent six years getting bigger, sharper, and harder to ignore. This weekend, that steady rise brought Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning to one of Seoul's biggest stages as the group packed Gocheok Sky Dome and opened another ambitious world tour.
aespa held their Seoul concerts for the 2026-27 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK : COMPLaeXITY on August 7 and 8 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul. Across the two nights, approximately 35,000 spectators filled the venue, giving the quartet a major milestone six years after debut.

The August 8 show closed the Seoul run while officially setting aespa's fourth world tour in motion. Over roughly two hours and 30 minutes, the group delivered 27 songs, moving between major singles, fan-favorite B-sides, solo stages, unit performances, and story-focused VCR segments.
For aespa, this was bigger than another tour date. Successfully completing their first solo concert at Gocheok Dome showed just how dramatically their live scale has expanded.
The night began with "LEMONADE," the title track from aespa's second full-length album. From there, the set moved quickly through "Switchblade," "Whiplash," debut single "Black Mamba," and "WDA (Whole Different Animal)."
The pace then shifted. "Count On ME," "Thirsty," and "Can't Help Myself" gave the members room to explore a different side of their catalog, creating contrast before the concert pushed toward its bigger performance sequences.
Winter immediately noticed the crowd's intensity.
"Today is already the last day. Did anyone come yesterday? I think the energy is even better than yesterday," she told fans.
Karina thanked the audience for arriving despite the summer heat and made one promise clear. "There are even better stages ahead."
She wasn't kidding.
After performing "KISS N TELL," the title track from aespa's first Japanese mini album, the concert shifted toward one of its biggest attractions. Each member unveiled a new solo song shaped around her own musical identity.
Karina performed "16 Bit," an R&B dance track she personally co-wrote. Built around restrained synth textures and a heavier groove, the song explores moments when a person's sense of their own image starts becoming unclear. Karina matched that tension with an alluring vocal performance and controlled stage presence.
Winter took a more assertive route with "Saddle Up." The R&B dance track combines a rhythmic top line with a groovy foundation, while its lyrics favor actions over empty promises when trying to win someone's heart. Winter carried that confidence directly into the performance.
Giselle put pen to paper for "BYEB4HELLO," participating in both its composition and lyrics. The song pairs bright energy with an unexpected turn, capturing the ache of wanting someone even when you already know the relationship cannot work. Her floor choreography pushed the performance further, drawing sustained cheers from the audience.
Ningning changed the temperature completely.
Her ballad "I Love You But I Gotta Let You Go" placed her distinctive voice and delicate vocal control at the center. Its lyrics focus on the painful decision to release someone you still love, giving the concert one of its most emotionally direct moments.
The members also revisited their unit stages. Giselle and Ningning performed "Lollipop," while Karina and Winter brought back "Serenade." Both performances were first revealed during the 2026 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK: aeXIS LINE - in JAPAN at Tokyo Dome in April before reaching the Korean stage at Gocheok Dome.
Then aespa turned the pressure back up.
The second half stacked some of the group's most recognizable songs into a relentless run. "Armageddon," "Drama," "Dirty Work," "Next Level," and "Supernova" appeared alongside B-sides including "Bite" and "SHAKIN'."
It was the kind of stretch built for a venue this size. Songs that had already generated challenges and widespread attention now had tens of thousands of fans responding at once. At Gocheok Dome, familiar material simply hits differently.
The concert also kept aespa's fictional narrative close to the action. VCR segments explored a renewed conflict involving ae-espa, which has been affected by a bug, and aespa, with the storyline developing from the group's second full-length album "LEMONADE."
Interview-style footage showed the members recognizing changes in ae-espa and discussing the growing conflict. Rather than leaving the concept outside the venue, aespa built it directly into the structure of the show.
When the main set ended, MYs were not ready to stay put.
The crowd continued cheering, bringing aespa back for an encore performance of "YEPPI YEPPI." The members greeted fans from a trailer, making eye contact around the venue and stretching the final moments of their Seoul stop.
Winter used her closing comments to reflect on what filling Gocheok Dome meant to the group.
"I am so happy and grateful that we were able to happily wrap up the concert for two days without anyone getting hurt," she said. "I am so thankful to our MY for filling the venue like this. I never imagined we would actually be able to fill this place."
She promised that aespa would continue showing fans new and improved sides of themselves.
Giselle also spoke about the work behind the production. "We worked hard to prepare for this concert. We tried to prepare stages that MY would like, and I hope you enjoyed them," she said.
She credited the audience's energy for helping the members enjoy the performance and thanked fans for making the journey despite the heat and distance.
Ningning kept her attention on what comes next. After thanking the crowd for spending the night with aespa, she spoke about the tour ahead.
"We are starting the tour now, and I am so excited to meet people all over the world. I will prepare diligently," she said.
Karina closed the Seoul chapter with a similar mixture of gratitude and ambition.
"I had so much fun for the past two days. We plan to tour until next year," she said. "We will work hard to become a better aespa, so I hope these two days of performances become precious memories for you."
Her final message was simple. "Thank you for choosing aespa."
Gocheok Dome was the starting point, not the finish line. Following Seoul, aespa is scheduled to visit 25 regions around the world, with stops including Taipei, Mexico City, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Seattle, London, Berlin, Barcelona, and Paris.
That itinerary gives SYNK : COMPLaeXITY plenty of room to grow as it moves through multiple continents and into next year. Yet Seoul has already established the scale. Twenty-seven songs, two and a half hours, roughly 35,000 spectators across two nights, and four members taking individual creative space inside one massive production.
Six years after debut, aespa walked into Gocheok Dome for their first solo concerts there and filled it. Now the doors are open on their fourth world tour, and the next test is global.
