ILLIT Takes LuckyFes '26 Main Stage as Japan Momentum Grows
ILLIT performs eight songs at LuckyFes '26 in Japan after drawing over 10,000 fans in Tokyo, with four encore concerts set for December.
ILLIT brought their growing momentum in Japan to a major summer festival stage, performing at LuckyFes '26 on August 9. The five-member group, Yoona, Minju, Mocha, Wonhee, and Iroha, appeared on the main stage at Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, adding another high-profile appearance to their recent run of Japanese activities.

ILLIT arrived with an eight-song set built around material that has been connecting with local listeners. They opened with "I Got Your Back", the title track from their recently released second Japanese single, before moving through "Almond Chocolate" and "Magnetic", both of which have been achieving strong results on local music charts. The set also featured "jellyous," "Mamihlapinatapai," "I'll Like You," "oops!" and "It's Me."
The festival appearance came just one day after another sizeable showing in Tokyo. On August 8, ILLIT drew more than 10,000 people to a new album release event at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. That turnout gives the group's current Japanese push a concrete number behind the attention, while the LuckyFes performance put the music in front of a summer festival crowd the following day.
ILLIT has also been building connections with Japanese artists rather than keeping its local activities isolated. Jisoo and Momoka of Japanese girl group HANA participated as guest artists on the title track of ILLIT's new album. The group has also shared a collaboration stage with Cutie Street at events including Fuji TV's "2026 FNS Music Festival Summer." Those appearances give ILLIT multiple routes into Japan's music scene, from releases and fan events to television collaborations and festival stages.
That approach matters because the group's Japanese schedule is moving across several formats at once. A release event attracting more than 10,000 people is one signal, while an eight-song main-stage festival set offers another. Pair those moments with collaborations involving HANA and Cutie Street, and ILLIT's activity in Japan is clearly extending beyond a single release cycle.
The next major date is already on the calendar. ILLIT will return to Japan for their solo tour encore, "ILLIT LIVE 'PRESS START︎' ENCORE," at Chiba Lala Arena Tokyo Bay on December 23 to 24 and December 26 to 27. After the turnout in Tokyo and their LuckyFes '26 appearance, those four December concerts will continue a busy year of Japanese activity for the group.
